Here are two weight loss tips for overweight men and women who are STRUGGLING to lose some weight. I'm going to share with you a 2-STEP APPROACH to losing weight that will get you started on the road to your ideal weight.
2 Tips for Easy Weight Loss
1. Start a simple exercise routine.
Every other day take a brisk walk every other day for 20-30 minutes. If you are in good shape and feel up to it - you may alternate walking with running. Just walk for 3 minutes, then run for 30 seconds or 1 minute - or however long you feel like. End the session with 5 minutes of walking. You will feel refreshed and energized.
On alternate days, do a simple exercise routine: squat up and down as quickly as you can for 5 minutes. Do this in sets of 20 squats with a short break between sets. Squats are great exercise that uses large muscles in your legs, abs and butt, burning a lot of calories. You may hold dumbbells in your hands for greater intensity.
2. Add vegetable soups and salads to your daily menu.
Learn to prepare at least one basic soup recipe with variety of vegetables. Prepare a big pot of soup once a week and store it in the fridge or freeze. Whenever you feel hungry and feel you need a snack - eat a cup of soup.
Eat at least one big salad every day. Now, when I say a salad - I mean some fresh, raw vegetables chopped and mixed together with some lemon juice. Do not make it a full meal by adding cheese, meat, oil, and croutons. You may want to add some berries or other fruits, or blend a tomato with some herbs to make a dressing. Keep it simple.
If eating a big salad is not your thing, you may try DRINKING it. Yes, that's right. This is a very popular trend lately - making GREEN SMOOTHIES from various greens (spinach, lettuce, kale, etc.), fruits and vegetables, blended together in a blender to produce a delicious, liquid, drinkable salad. Try spinach with bananas and strawberries; romaine lettuce, celery and blueberries; or spinach with apples, banana, and some lemon or lime juice. Green smoothies are also a great way to reduce cravings for junk foods.
